The Stash Gallery located within the 30’s jazz themed venue Vout-O-Reenees is hosting a 22 artist exhibition of photography and sculpture curated by Alice Herrick. Vout-O-Reenees prides itself on being quirky, liberal and outspoken. They claim that “Even if you don’t enjoy Dunkin’ bagels, Cement Mixer Putti Putti, Anytime Any Place Anywhere we will be waiting for you with a smile, occasionally a false moustache and the finest of wines, cocktails and beers.”

Richmond Views
Orleans House Gallery

Through celebrating Richmond upon Thames’ rich natural beauty, Orleans House Gallery opens a special exhibition to fundraise their ambitious Transforming Orleans House project. Richmond Views explores the neighbourhood’s landscape, urban environment, buildings and inhabitants in varying media and disciplines.

We’ve Got Mail II

Examining the Mostyn building’s heritage, this exhibition presents the second edition of a show continuing the gallery’s response to its prior use as a postal sorting office. Especially looking at postcards depicting the history of the town of Llandudno, We’ve Got Mail II displays classic examples of the use of postcards in visual arts.

Glynn Vivian Artist in Residence: Jessica Hoad
Glynn Vivian Gallery

Jessica Hoad takes the Glynn Vivian Artist in Residence programme. Her practice explores natural responses to situations, encounters with others, objects, sounds and spaces. She brings together everyday objects, with sound continuing to make a more frequent medium in her installations and interventions. Her exploration of sound looks at how we perceive space and place.

Found
The New Art Gallery Walsall

This exhibitions brings together seven contemporary artists who primarily work with found images. Employing practice based on collage techniques such as cutting, embellishing and re-working visual material, these artists explore the visual culture of the Internet, flea markets, magazines and discarded personal collections. Exploring themes on memory, loss and mass cultural experience, the artists peer into hierarchies concerning gender, race, religion and mass culture.

John Virtue: The Sea

Eastbourne hosts this major exhibition of John Virtue’s work. Considered as a striking departure from the large paintings of London which he produced for the National Gallery, this exhibition features new paintings that take the vast, dark expanse of the North Sea as a central theme.
